TERMS

This is the legal bit relating to our service, just so we’re clear about what you can expect from Leon Cycle Repair and vice versa. 


Bike Servicing

Prior to carrying out any work, Leon Cycle Repair will undertake an assessment of your bike to determine its condition + will contact you to advise of any additional work that may be required + / or parts that may require replacing + the costs of this work.

  • Leon Cycle Repair will carry out the work to your bicycle as shown on the work order created for you. Every customer booked in has a unique job service checklist which can be used to stay up to date with a job's progress + serves the same purpose as an invoice.

  • Leon Cycle Repair will not undertake any additional work or replace any parts without your consent. However, if you choose not to follow the recommendations, Leon Cycle Repair cannot guarantee that your bicycle will work as it should + Leon Cycle Repair accepts no liability for any defects arising with the bicycle as a result of not having this work undertaken.

  • Leon Cycle Repair will never sub-contract the work (or part thereof) to a third party. 

 

Completion of work

  • Leon Cycle Repair will endeavour to complete any work to your bicycle as soon as possible and within the estimated timescales that we have provided you with. However, there may be times when this is not possible + time for completion of this work will not be of the essence.

 

Price and Payment

  • The price for the work (including any additional work which you have authorised Leon Cycle Repair to carry out) will be as quoted to you.

  • Payment in full is required on completion of any work undertaken to your bicycle + upon the day of return of your bicycle. Leon Cycle Repair reserves the right to retain your bicycle until you have paid in full.

 

Collection of Bicycles

  • You must receive your bicycle within 10 days of Leon Cycle Repair notifying you that it is available (unless by prior arrangement). If you fail to do so, Leon Cycle Repair will provide you with a written notice (which includes email) notifying you that you have 21 days for Leon Cycle Repair to drop off your bike, failing which the bicycle may be sold to recover costs.

  • Leon Cycle Repair is entitled to deduct any outstanding payment due from you for the work from the proceeds of any sale of your bicycle, together with any costs of sale + if applicable, a cheque will be sent to you for the remaining proceeds of the sale.

 

Warranty

  • Subject to the remainder of this clause, all replacement parts provided by Leon Cycle Repair will be guaranteed through the manufacturer’s own guarantee for each component supplied + fitted, as part of the service. All labour + workmanship carried out by Leon Cycle Repair, will be guaranteed for a period of 3 months, commencing from the date of the work being undertaken.

 

This warranty is subject to you:

(a) taking reasonable care + attention of the bike;
(b) + allowing Leon Cycle Repair to carry out the repair work required.

 

This warranty is not valid where, in Leon Cycle Repair’s reasonable opinion, defects with the bicycle have occurred due to fair wear + tear, improper use, criminal or malicious damage, fire, theft, instances where the bicycle has been used in an incorrect manner or you have continued to use the bicycle after the defect or fault developed.

 

Risk

Any personal items left on the bicycle when it is provided to Leon Cycle Repair are left at the customer’s own risk. Leon Cycle Repair accepts no liability for any loss or damage to these items. Leon Cycle Repair recommend you remove any such items prior to us taking the bicycle.

 

Liability

  • If Leon Cycle Repair fail to comply with these conditions an attempt will be made to repair the issue for you as soon as possible, which may include providing you with replacement parts.

  • Under no circumstances will Leon Cycle Repair be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill, stress or inconvenience) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under these terms + conditions + Leon Cycle Repair shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the service.

  • Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any of your statutory rights or in any way to exclude or limit Leon Cycle Repair liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from Leon Cycle Repair negligence.

 

General

Leon Cycle Repair amends these terms from time-to-time. The terms in force at the time of the work being undertaken apply to the Contract between both parties.
